We Strive For Accuracy
1.
In Monday’s poem
the shape of a boy was mischaracterized.
“Onion” is more accurate,
a tendency of the skin to turn inward
and the narrowest puncture
weeps acridly for days.
2.
The advertisement for this car
should be revised. Instead, it spins cartwheels
and drives you crazy, and runs on
and on at the mouth.
3.
We used the wrong spelling of hart, and
it broke through our lungs with all that
antlered thrashing, the scrape of brambles,
hooves rattling up into our throats.
